Encuesta Europea de Condiciones de Trabajo 2021. Datos España - Año 2023

La Encuesta Española de Condiciones de Trabajo del año 2021 se basa en la explotación de las entrevistas realizadas a 2.903 personas trabajadoras en España, en el marco de la Encuesta Europea sobre Condiciones de Trabajo o European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS), llevada a cabo por la Fundación Europea para la Mejora de las Condiciones de Vida y de Trabajo (Eurofound). Dicha encuesta permite recoger datos fiables y comparables entre todos los países participantes, siendo sus principales objetivos los siguientes:

• Evaluar y cuantificar de forma armonizada las condiciones de trabajo de la población trabajadora, tanto por cuenta ajena como por cuenta propia.
• Analizar las relaciones entre diferentes aspectos de las condiciones de trabajo.
• Identificar los grupos de riesgo, las cuestiones motivo de preocupación y los avances logrados.
• Supervisar las tendencias mediante la provisión de indicadores homogéneos en esta materia.
• Contribuir a la formulación de políticas europeas en materia de calidad del trabajo y empleo.

Debido a la pandemia del año 2020 provocada por el Covid-19, la encuesta que debería haberse realizado durante ese año hubo de posponerse, introduciéndose un cambio importante en la metodología, que supuso que las entrevistas cara a cara que normalmente se usaban fueran sustituidas por entrevistas telefónicas. Este cambio metodológico sustancial no permite comparar con ediciones anteriores de la encuesta, siendo limitadas las opciones de análisis de tendencias a lo largo del tiempo.

Abstract

The Spanish Working Conditions Survey (year 2021) is based on the exploitation of interviews carried out with 2,903 working people in Spain, within the framework of the European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS), performed by the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound). This survey achieve to obtain reliable and comparable data from all participating countries. The main objectives of the survey are:

• Evaluate and quantify in a harmonized way the working conditions of the working population, both employed and self-employed.
• Analyze the relationships between different aspects of working conditions.
• Identify risk groups, issues of concern and progress made.
• Assess trends by providing homogeneous indicators in working conditions.
• Contribute to the proposal of European policies regarding quality of work and employment.

Due to the 2020 pandemic caused by Covid-19, the survey that should have been carried out during that year had to be postponed, introducing an important change in the methodology, which meant that the face-to-face interviews normally used in the past were replaced by telephone interviews. This substantial methodological change does not allow comparison with previous editions of the survey, and the options for analyzing trends over time are limited.
